As a charity we rely on the generosity of our donors, sponsors and volunteers to enable the Library to continue growing.
The Library has no budget for books, stationery, materials or furniture therefore most of what our visitors see, use and enjoy is donated.

If you are considering making a donation please read our donations policy and then contact us. Collection can be organised if necessary.
Many individual women, groups and sponsors have supported the Library's growth during its 13-year history. Since we remain a non-core-funded organisation we still rely on the generosity and support of donors and sponsors in order to support even basic aspects of the Library's day-to-day running.
Annual 'Friends' fees continue to provide a vital source of support to the organisation but donors can also support our work through taking out monthly subscriptions or contributing through the Gift Aid system. Find out more about joining the library here.
You can now make a donation online on the Charity Choice to Glasgow Women's Library
The donations process is very straightforward. However, because the donation is made through another website, we'd like to remind you to fill in the 'Data Protection' section carefully. Selecting the second and third checkboxes in this section should ensure that you do not receive any spam.
Some women choose to donate their time, energy and expertise to the Library. Thanks to these donations the Library now runs a free monthly lawyer's surgery.
Any women wishing to draw up their will can make an appointment with the lawyer, Fiona Cook, who will donate her £50 fee for this service to the Library. This is a great opportunity to help yourself and other women at the same time.
Women with knowledge of archiving, databases, D.I.Y. and design also regularly offer their expertise. All of these donations allow the Library to improve and extend the services it can offer its visitors and members. The Library needs volunteer support in all aspects of its work from strategic development to garden management. Please see our Volunteer section if you have a skill you'd like to share.
There are many ways to support our work: membership, donations and gift aid. But did you know that if you are and artist or writer, you can bequeath your royalties to us? Your contribution would help ensure the continuation of this unique library service for and by women, dedicated to celebrating and empowering women.
