Volunteer at the Library

-

Glasgow Women's Library has always grown with the support of volunteers. Our volunteer training programmme is currently being reviewed and revamped. In the meantime, there are still ways that you can help the Library grow and thrive.

Transcribing

The video testimonies of many users, visitors, staff and donors are currently being transcribed. We are looking for women who can touch-type and would be interested to work with our documentation artists in residence and GWL staff transcribing this fascinating and valuable material. Contact Adele at the Library for details.

Spreading the word

Glasgow Women's Library currently does not have a dedicated budget for publicity and promotion. We rely on supporters to spread the word. If you can help us distribute our newsletters, leaflets or e-bulletins please let us know. Pick up materials from the Library or send us details of any local projects we should be sending information to.

If you would like to be contacted about other ways that you can support our work, or would like to be mailed with information about our future volunteering training programme, please contact us.

Work Placements

If you are looking for information on placements, internships or secondments please contact us. Recent and ongoing placement partnerships have included Athena (Italy), Centrum Praw Kobiet (Poland), the Asylum Seeker and Refugee Time Bank (Glasgow), and Glasgow University.
