The Scottish Minority Group was the euphemistic term that described the first gay and lesbian interest group that appeared in Scotland in 1969. It concentrated on campaigning and providing a social scene for lesbians and gay men.
The SMG later became 'Scotland Homosexual Rights Group' and then later again, 'Outright Scotland'. A very good history of SMG is available on the Knitting Circle website.
