Glasgow Women's Library has a great collection of information about women in history but we are also champions of individual stories, the histories being lived today by women and how our own lives and the histories of others can be exciting landscapes to explore.
Glasgow Women's Library is researching and compiling the stories of women who relocated to Glasgow to start a new life. We are keen to capture the fascinating stories of women who worked hard to maintain themselves and their families in an entirely different culture and climate.
We are keen to hear from people who would like to take part in this project as a volunteer or participant, or both! If you are interested, please contact the Library.
The Women Make History team celebrate their anniversary with a look over what has been achieved over the past year and planning for the forthcoming year. A great opportunity to have your say and have some fun at the same time.
Wednesday, 3 October, 6.30pm. Refreshments will be provided on the night.
Women Make History is a women's history group at Glasgow Women's Library that aims to gather and share information on pioneering women in Glasgow. We are aiming to launch a women's history walking tour of Glasgow in 2007.
There are lots of ways to get involved. For more information about how you can get involved in developing the walking tour, fundraising, or joining the research and development groups, please contact the Library.
Alternatively, come along to one of our open Women's History events:
As part of the Women Make History group's activities we are hosting an exciting new open programme of talks, events and workshops led by women with skills and experience of doing women's history.
