Individuals, groups, organisations and Library users can access training, research and consultancy services at the Library.
The Library has a huge, diverse collection of materials. It has been used as a research resource by women undertaking projects locally, nationally and internationally. Visitors can access information across a range of formats and on a wide spectrum of topics related to women and gender.
Members can subscribe to our Cuttings Service and research can be undertaken by the Library for specific projects and group work. For example:

As the sole Women's Library in Scotland with a significant collection, a large membership and experienced staff, the Library regularly consults with media, academic, statutory and other colleagues involved in research. We can convene focus groups, deliver reports, undertake research projects and engage in other forms of consultation on gender and related equalities issues.

Our volunteer training programme is currently being revamped but we do offer training opportunities for women from camera and video skills, mandarin, bookmaking, creative writing to gardening through our Lifelong Learning programme.
We also deliver outreach training, currently Adult Literacy and Numeracy Awareness Raising, 'Girl Power' training for groups of young women and Homophobia Awareness Raising. Contact the Library for more information.
